Clarification of Nursing Facility Clinically Eligible (NFCE) Online Training This online course is designed for AAA staff responsible for conducting level of care assessments. This course, along with the NFCE Clarification Bulletin, clarifies and supplements the guidance regarding NFCE determinations found on pages 7-8 of Chapter 1, Assessments, of the Home and Community Based Services Procedures Manual and in the Level of Care Assessment Instructions. Although you can stop and review this course at any time, allow approximately 90 minutes to complete this training program. Essential Skils for Senior Centers
The Essential Skills for Senior Centers is an e-learning module which is web accessible. The program provides basic information for new Senior Center Managers/Directors and can serve as a refresher for existing staff.
Areas addressed include:
- PA Department of Aging Senior Center Policy Directive
- The Senior Center in the Community: resource diversification, marketing, and building collaboration
- Roles & Responsibilities: work plans, evaluation of operations and programs – outcome measures, fiscal management, fundraising, supervision, day to day management, etc.
- Knowledge of the Population: the aging experience, theories of aging, typical aging, benefits of aging, typical health issues & nutrition)
- Interpersonal Skills
- Senior Center Programming
- Managerial Skills: leadership, team building, developing employees, managing conflict, managing time, creating a productive culture, etc.)
The free program will provide a foundation of information regarding senior center operations.
